ASEAN- China Centre came into operation since 2011. The visit of Mr. Ma Ming Quiang aims at looking for demands and possibilities for co-operation between China and Asean countries.

At the welcoming ceremony, General Director of VNAT emphasized China is one of leading markets of Viet Nam tourism. The number of Chinese tourists to Viet Nam was 1.4 million arrivals in 2011, increasing by 57% over 2010 and accounting for 23% of total international tourists to Viet Nam. Furthermore, China is also an attractive destination for Vietnamese tourists.
